Waiver
Volunteer Assumption of Risk and Waiver/Release for Injuries, Damages and Claims
In volunteering to assist in activities related to this event, I hereby acknowledge that such volunteer work may involve the risk of physical injury to me or others, damage to my property, or other risks or consequences, foreseen or unforeseen. I hereby assume any and all such risks, and I waive and release the Empire State Winter Games, its Officers, Directors and Team Leaders, the Adirondack Sports Council, the organizing committee, Bike Adirondack, NYSEF, other volunteers, sponsors, officials, sanctioning bodies, counties, and municipalities through which this event is run and the State of New York (hereinafter sometimes referred to as The Race Committee) from all liabilities and claims arising from my participating as a volunteer in this event.
I certify that I have reviewed the AMDF rules and safety guidelines as well as guidance issued by the Center for Disease Control (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-
ncov/prepare/prevention.html) relating the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). During my participation in the AMDF, I will comply with all AMDF rules and safety guidelines, all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, and the foregoing CDC guidance.
I further hereby grant to the Empire State Winter Games, the Adirondack Sports Council, its volunteers, and any and all other affiliated persons and/or entities, the free and full use of any photographic or video images made of me in my capacity as a volunteer for the Empire State Winter Games to be used for any legitimate purpose including, but not limited to, publicity or advertising.
If the participant is a minor (under 18 years of age), I further certify that I am his/her parent or legal guardian. I further agree to defend and indemnify the Event Committee for any claims made by or on behalf of my minor child or ward that relate to this event. I am also releasing any claims that I
might have been against the Race Committee personally or in my capacity as parent or guardian.
